      • Ensure that Stamford’s car parking provision is prioritised with SKDC
      • Lobbying LCC to undertake a study on long term road transport need
      • Influencing long term planning needs through the LDF and Area Action Plan
      • Complete the Gateway Scheme and initiate an ongoing maintenance programme
      • Pursue national recognition of the Gateway scheme by entering appropriate competitions

Marketing Group: Review of 2007 – Philip Sagar
      • Met 6 times
      • Supported the ‘Hidden England’ initiative
      • Continued distribution of ‘An Hour around Stamford’
      • Sponsored, lobbied for & contributed financially to SKDC’s 2008 Tourist information & Accommodation guide
      • Arranged radio advertising and interviews and press releases in the region to support Stamford Shopping during February & March 2007
      • Represented Stamford at Lincolnshire Tourism marketing events during 2007
      • Raised funds and worked with Stamford College to hold a Stamford Pageant in Red Lion Square engaging 100 local children in telling the history of Stamford
      • Supported Stamford Christmas lights

        • Extend publications and continue support of partner marketing organisations
        • Print a new ‘Stamford home of Independent shopping’ guide based on ‘hour in town guide’ for late Spring launch - a minimum 10,000 copies
        • Reprint with updates 10,000 copies ‘Stamford ‘Hour in the Town’
        • Continue to audit Stamford’s tourist & Visitor web presence
        • Audit the signage in the town and work in conjunction with the Way Finding elements of the Gateway scheme to ensure that all parts of town are promoted
        • Encourage a broad community use of the spaces in Red Lion Square and Sheep Market in partnership with the Chamber, Town Council and others
