LingBridge Ltd was incorporated in March 2009 and is fully owned by John Bridgman and Gopi Lingam. The principal focus of the business is investing in and offering access to specialist Emerging Market managers and other investment opportunities. LingBridge invests alongside clients and provide access to a variety of high quality managers and strategies in Asia and other Emerging and Frontier Markets.
John and Gopi started working together in 1995 at Peregrine Securities, in 1998 they both joined CLSA where they established and ran the Emerging Markets funds’ business. This was a fully integrated sales, trading and research operation covering OTC, ETFs and other listed investment funds. In 2001, they extended their activities to include capital raising and investing in a select platform of emerging market hedge funds and absolute return funds. John was responsible for managing the proprietary capital used to allocate to these managers and to trade the various products. Gopi managed the advisory business, which focused on asset allocation and hedge fund recommendations to institutional investors. Previously John held positions at Cazenove & Co and Smith New Court, having started his career in 1982 at Pinchin Denny & Co (which later became Morgan Grenfell Securities).
LingBridge Ltd is an appointed representative of Dragon Capital Markets Limited (Europe), a Limited Company in England & Wales authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. In this capacity LingBridge provides marketing services and prices on behalf of Dragon Capital (BVI) Limited in their funds during European and US market hours.
